A composite URI is a URI for a generic or abstracted entity (work, place, etc.) that comprises multiple, more specific "constituent" URIs. For example, the literary tradition Alexandra (http://syriaca.org/work/2057) is more generic than the specific text Alexandra (http://syriaca.org/work/635).
