Explanation of "Status" Element for Texts in the Digital Syriac Corpus

In the right-hand box "About This Digital Text" there is an element called "Status." The following are the status descriptions we use, along with their explanation:

1. Uncorrected Transcription

This status signifies that the text has been transcribed (either from a print edition or from a manuscript) with minimal editing, and it may contain typographical errors.

2. Under Review

This status signifies that the text has been proofread by someone, and those revisions are under review but not yet visible in the main text yet.

3. Proofed Digital Edition

This status signifies that the text has been proofread and edited. Any text with this status should not contain errors (though oversight is always possible).

Submitting Corrections

If you see any errors while reading a text in the Digital Syriac Corpus, please notify us by using the "Corrections" button at the top right of every text page.
